Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-26
This policy explains how Luminex Enterprise ("we", "us") handles personal information in TrainVue ("the Service"). Questions: email [email protected], or write to Luminex Enterprise, 174 W 4th St, Unit #404, New York, NY 10014.
1. The short version
- Your recordings stay on your device. They are stored in your browser, and the Service does not upload them.
- We do not sell your personal information. The Service has no advertising or analytics trackers.
- The booth's transcript and the prompter's voice-following use your browser's speech recognition. In browsers such as Chrome and Edge, this usually sends your microphone audio to Google or Microsoft while it runs.
- We use your recordings and transcripts to improve TrainVue or train models only if you opt in, and you can withdraw at any time.
- You can download or delete your data.
2. What we handle
In your browser
Your recordings and transcripts, your question sets, scripts and practice results, your settings (such as prompter preferences and the camera and microphone you chose) and, if you sign in, your sign-in session. The Service keeps these in your browser so it works as you left it. We do not receive your recordings or transcripts.
If you create an account
- Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares, such as your name and profile picture.
- Your question sets, scripts and practice results, such as time used, pace and filler words. Not your recordings or transcripts.
- Which versions of the Terms and this policy you accepted, and your training choice, with dates.
- Sign-in and security records, such as IP address, browser type and times.
When you visit or contact us
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and time. If you email us, we keep your message and contact details to reply.
Speech recognition
While the transcript or voice-following runs, your browser sends microphone audio to its speech service. That service is provided by your browser's maker under its own terms. We do not receive that audio.
3. Why we use it
We use personal information to provide the Service and your account, including keeping your practice in step across devices; to keep the Service secure and working; to reply to you; to keep a record of your choices; and, only if you opt in, to improve TrainVue and train models. Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable service, your consent for the training opt-in, and our legal obligations, as each case requires.
4. Training use (optional)
We use your recordings and transcripts to improve TrainVue or train models only if you tick the separate opt-in, which is never ticked for you. Today nothing is uploaded for this purpose. Before anything is, we will tell you what will be uploaded and how it will be used. You can withdraw at any time in Account settings, and we will stop using your content for this purpose from then on.
5. No biometric identifiers
The Service does not create face geometry, voiceprints or other biometric identifiers. Before we add any feature that analyses your face or voice, wherever that analysis runs, we will review the laws that apply and give any notice and ask for any consent they require.
6. Service providers
We use service providers to run the Service:
- Cloudflare, for hosting and delivery
- Supabase, for the account database and sign-in, in the United States
- an email delivery provider, for sign-in emails
- Google, for signing in with Google, if you choose it
They handle personal information only as needed to provide their services. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
7. Where information is stored
We are based in the United States, and account information is stored there. If you use the Service from another country, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
8. How long we keep it
- In your browser: until you delete it. Your browser may also clear it.
- Account information: until you delete your account. We then delete it from our active database. Limited copies may remain for a short time in our providers' backups and logs until they are removed on their normal schedule.
- Server and security logs: for a limited period.
- Emails: as long as we need them to handle your request.
9. Your choices and rights
In the Service, you can download your recordings and your account data, change your training choice, and delete recordings or your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. To use them, email [email protected]. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
10. Children
The Service is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
The Service is served over HTTPS with a strict content security policy and no third-party scripts, and account data is protected so that each user can reach only their own records. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Information in your browser is protected by your device and browser, and anyone who uses your browser profile may be able to see it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, the date and version above change, and we will tell you about material changes in the Service before they take effect.
